How to Stand in Short Dresses
Have you ever seen someone standing awkwardly in a short dress at a party? This doesn't ever have to be you. You can worry about the type of bag to carry with your short dress, or debate the perfect shoes, but standing in your short ball gown doesn't need to be stressful, or awkward. All you need is good posture and confidence to pull it off. Follow these simple steps towards standing with confidence in your favorite short dress at any occasion.
Instructions
1. Apply lotion to your legs and moisturize them well. Or put on your favorite pair of tights that go well with your dress. If you feel that your legs look good, you will already stand with more confidence.
2. Put on comfortable shoes. The type shoes you are wearing can affect your posture and how you stand. If the shoes are not comfortable then your torso will slump forward out of discomfort while standing. The higher the heel, the longer your legs will appear, but standing with ease and good balance is important.
3. Stand in front of a full-length mirror and practice standing in your cheap long prom dresses under 50. See what you look like.
4. Stand with your knees 2 inches apart, and then put your weight slightly on one leg. As you lean your weight slightly on that leg, your other leg will now slightly bend, creating a sturdy stance.
5. Put your arms to the side of your torso. Your wrists and hands should be resting at thigh level.
6. Arch your back slightly while you stand in this position. Standing with good posture means you will also appear taller.
7. Lift your chin slightly as you stand. You will appear taller and more confident.
8. Practice walking, and then stopping naturally, and then getting into this standing position a few times. Soon it will feel more natural to stand in your short cheap evening dress.
